SAP has won again and is poised to lead the future as approximately 75% of users considering implementing SAP as their next ERP solution.
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution market in India is growing at a rapid rate. According to a report by MarketsandMarkets, the ERP solution market in India is expected to grow from US$2.9 billion in 2020 to US$4.3 billion by 2025, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 8.2% during the forecast period.
The growth of the ERP solution market in India can be attributed to the increasing adoption of cloud-based ERP solutions and the growing demand for digital transformation across various industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and BFSI. Additionally, government initiatives such as Digital India and Make in India are also contributing to the growth of ERP adoption in the country.
It appears that SAP is the clear leader in the ERP category, achieving a perfect score of 100%, up 4% from last year's 96%. Oracle, however, has seen a decrease in its hold on the market, dropping from 94% last year to 85% this year. Microsoft Dynamics has seen a significant increase from 37% to 67%, followed by Infor (63%) and Odoo (45%).
Almost all users could spontaneously recall SAP ERP and Oracle ERP as vendors providing ERP solutions.
In the spontaneous recall, SAP once again achieved a perfect score of 100%. However, competitors were close behind with Oracle receiving a 98% recall rate followed by Microsoft Dynamics (88%), Infor (79%), and Odoo (77%). This indicates that each brand is widely recognized among the majority of respondents.
When we asked about the current ERP solution being used, the top five brands remain unchanged and in a similar order. SAP once again ranked highest with 37%, followed by Oracle at 23%, Microsoft Dynamics at 16%, Infor at 16%, and Odoo at 4%.
Notably, Marg ERP has been replaced by Odoo this year, resulting in its absence from our top five list.
Let's find out what the future holds. SAP may still have a strong presence in the market, but Oracle could gain more market share. Infor may surpass Microsoft Dynamics and Odoo appears likely to maintain its position among the top five providers.
The champion, SAP, is admired for numerous reasons, as it signifies the users' trust in its brand, quality of service and price. Oracle stands out for its brand name and solution quality, whereas Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, and Odoo have garnered attention for their quality solutions.
