Huawei Unveils Nova 11 Series with Dual Selfie Cameras and Satellite Messaging

The nova 11 midrangers were unveiled by Huawei to the Chinese public today in a significant statement. Three devices, the standard nova 11, nova 11 Pro, and nova 11 Ultra were displayed at a nova event for the first time. They were all painted in the brand's distinctive shade of green.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, a crucial component of the triumvirate, unites them. They are all LTE-only cellphones because all three have their 5G capabilities disabled.

Huawei nova 11 Pro & Ultra Specifications

The distinction between these two telephones is only one: Due to the Chinese satellite navigation system Beidou's two-way satellite messaging, the Ultra costs more. Other than that, it has the same features and specifications as the Pro.

The display is a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED with a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Although the resolution is listed as "Full HD+," it is actually denser: 2652 x 1200 pixels. The panel has 2.5D curved sides and is protected by Kunlun Glass on top. The dual selfie cameras can be accessed through a pill-shaped hole in the upper left corner.

Regarding the cameras, the front-facing ones are 8 MP with a 2x optical zoom for portraits and 60 MP main with a 100-degree field of view.

Details about the camera

There are three cameras on the back, but Huawei only listed the two primary ones: a 50 MP camera with an RYYB sensor, two aperture settings (f/1.4 or f/4.0), and laser autofocus. The third is said to be a "ten-channel color temperature sensor," while the second is an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle.

Other features

The Huawei Nova 11 Pro and Ultra's 4,500 mAh battery supports 100W fast charging. The adapter is included in the retail box.

HarmonyOS 3.0 and fancy colors are two additional features. Two of them are made of vegan leather, Green and Black while the other two, White and Gold are made of glass and are only available on the Pro for some reason.

Since Huawei has stopped announcing RAM for its phones, we can only report that the Nova 11 Pro has 256 or 512 GB of storage, while the Nova 11 Ultra only has 512 GB.

Pricing

The Nova 11 Pro costs CNY3,499 (510 USD) without the Kunlun Glass, however; CNY200 ($30) more is spent on the additional protection. Double the storage space costs CNY3,999 (582 USD), but there is no fancy glass on top.

The Nova 11 Ultra costs CNY 4,499 (655 dollars); that's an additional CNY 500 ($70) for satellite messaging alone.

• The Huawei Nova 11's specifications are still quite intriguing, despite the fact that it is the least impressive of the three models. The 10-bit AMOLED screen still has a fast refresh rate, but it now has a diagonal of 6.7 inches and is flat.
• The 50 MP, 8 MP, and temperature sensor on the back are among the beautiful cameras Huawei chose to keep. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is one and hidden behind a central punch hole; Nonetheless, it still has 60 MP, a 100-degree field-of-view, and 4K video recording.
• The battery capacity remained unchanged at 4,500 mAh; however, charging is limited to 66 W.
• Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with BLE, and HarmonyOS 3.0 for the user interface which is not surprising.

The 128 GB model costs CNY2,499 ($363), while the 256 GB model costs CNY2,799 ($410). It costs an additional CNY200 ($30) to add a Kunlun Glass to the top (only for the more expensive option). There is also a version with 512 GB of storage and protective glass for CNY3,399 (approximately $495), which is only available in Green or Black.
