Remotely access your PC any-time, anywhere with the light Chrome browser extension
Go to the Chrome’s Settings and click on Extensions and then click on Get more extension to search Chrome Remote Desktop extension. Or you can directly search on Google to get the link. Click on Add Extension and it will be added in your browser.You might have tried various apps/software's to remotely access another PC/laptop. But, what if you can get access without installing new software/app? Does that sound interesting! Yes it is possible, and you just need to add an extension in your Chrome browser. Whether you are using Windows, Mac or Linux, it will work smoothly on any OS. Let’s see how you can do it…
Once its done, click on Launch App, it will ask you to ‘Authorize’ the app to get access to your Google account and other information. Click on continue to authorize
the app.
Now it will access your Google account and other information. Click on Accept button to allow the app to access your Google account information.
You will get two options here - Remote Assistance and My Computer. You will get remote access to other PC and be able to share your PC with others using the Remote Assistance. My computer option provides you access to your own PC remotely. Click on Remote Assistance to get remote access or share your PC. Make sure other PC also has the same extension installed.
If you want to share your PC with other, then click on S’. It will add one more extension ‘Chrome remote desktop host installer’ for sharing your PC and a pop up will appear with the access code that you need to share with the person who will access your PC.
To access the other PC, click on Access, a pop will appear asking the access code that the other user has to share with you. This means the user is authorizing you to access the PC.
Enter the code and click on Connect. The next screen will be the host computer’s display. The remote session will start now, and you can operate the PC.
To stop remote session anytime, you can click on Stop Sharing button.
