Have you ever lost your device? Well, it is surely one of the things that you don't want to happen to you. Especially a smartphone, which fulfils all our daily needs whether it is communication or a way of entertainment, it is the most frustrating thing currently not only because one needs to spend more to buy another one but also because the data gets lost with it.
Has it ever occurred to you that when your phone was lost, you ever tried to recover it or find it? What if someone got your phone and hacks all your personal credentials and could try to steal your money?

How to enable Find My Device on your Android phone
This will work on devices that are running Android 8.0 and up, so these steps should apply unless your phone is more than two years old.
- Open Settings
Open the Settings app from the notification panel or open the Settings app from the App Drawer.
- Open Security
In the Settings app, you'll see an entry for Security. Tap that entry. The Android Security Settings listing. The security option is easily accessible from within Settings.
- Open Find My Device
Within the Security page, you should see a listing for Find My Device. Tap that listing. The Find My Device listing in Security. To enable the feature, you must tap Find My Device first.
- Enable Find My Device
On the resulting page, tap the ON/OFF button to Use Find My Device until it's in the ON position.

It might take some time to register the device but will do the work. When you see it listed, your phone will be connected, whether you know where it is or not. In the sidebar, you will see your phone's connection.
When to use Find My Device
It is really not okay to lose your phone these days as said earlier because all your work gets stuck in the middle of nowhere till the time you get yourself a new phone and recover all your data.
