Manoj Nair, Head of Fujitsu’s India Global Development Center (GDC), Fujitsu Consulting India talks about Digital Transformation strategies, the role of data management and analytics along with how Indian IT services have evolved in the New Normal.
Talking about the situation created by the Covid-19 crisis, Manoj said, “The situation has accelerated towards a Digital Transformation journey for most of our customers. Adoption of technology, which used to get debated a lot, their acceptance is much more.”
With regard to data being the new oil, Manoj spoke about Explainable AI (XAI), “It is not just for the outcome, based on the various interpretations of data and the output we get, but what is the reasoning behind those. That is really important.” He stressed that data was important in enhancing both customer experience and the employee experience as well.
About the R&D scene in India, Manoj said, “If you look at the various innovations that are happening and the start-up culture within the country, that is helping boost the R&D related areas. If you look across various sectors where the Indian IT industry has been involved in evolving and developing solutions, which is helping a lot of industries across the globe.”
