According to the reports, Google is all set to launch its own smartwatch in the later part of the year. Earlier, Google was depending on various brands such as LG and Fossil Group to integrate its software for smartwatches. The software Google uses for its smartwatches is Wear OS.
3 Pixel SmartWatches Under Work
Not just one, Google plans to launch 3 smartwatches. The information was flashed in the month of May in a German website named - WinFuture.de. The three watches have been codenamed to be Ling, Triton, and Sardine. Moreover, this would be the first time, Google will introduce a smartwatch with its brand - Pixel.
Qualcomm Powered Google Watches
The pixel smartwatches will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset. According to CNET, Google watches will have a dedicated chipset. Further Pankaj Kedia, Senior Director of Smart Wearables Segment, Qualcomm told CNET that the organization’s chief plan is to enhance the user experience and amplify the use of Google Assistant. The next chip for wearables could be named as Snapdragon 3100. Also, the watches will have better battery life than Google”s previous WearOS software.
Further, the Google Pixel Watch will most probably be launched in the month of October. The watches likely to be announced are Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and Pixel Buds.
