Check out the first look of stunning Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in India. The smartphones are the first devices from the Korean giant to feature an all metal and glass design. We checked the devices during the launch event and here is the first look of both the smartphones.

This is the Galaxy S6 in white version. Unlike the previous flagship models, S6 and S6 edge features an all metal and glass design. The smartphone is very light weight and looks quite premium. The home button integrates the similar Heart rate monitor as seen in galaxy 5, Note 4 and Note 4 Edge.

The GALAXY S6 edge particularly, is a unique smartphone, which offers an immersive viewing experience with the world’s first curved display on both sides. The 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen offers the highest pixel density of 577ppi.

Its glass body is made of Gorilla Glass 4 and the smartphone is definitely the best designed smartphone from the company till date. Despite the 5.1 inch display, the smartphone is perfect for one hand operation.

As you can check, the smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom adjacent to the speaker grill. The bottom and side edges resembles iPhone 6 design.

The GALAXY S6 and GALAXY S6 edge are equipped with 16 MP rear and a 5 MP front cameras. We were quite impressed by the initial tests of the camera, as the F1.9 lenses and high resolution sensors were able to provide an amazing image quality.  In addition, the cameras has Auto Real-time High Dynamic Range (HDR), Smart Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and IR Detect White Balance provide advanced light sensitivities and crisp camera solutions. Furthermore, a new “Quick Launch” feature give users fast, direct access to the camera from any screen in just 0.7 seconds* by simply double clicking the home key button.

The smartphones will be available in an array of colorful jewel tones, including White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 Edge).

Samsung also showcased the supported accessories with the Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge. These include, transparent back panels, flip covers, wireless charger and battery cases.

The Samsung GALAXY S6 is priced at INR 49,900 (32GB), INR 55,900 (64GB) and INR 61,900 (128GB), while GALAXY S6 edge is available at a price of INR 58,900 (32GB), INR 64,900 (64GB) and INR 70,900 (128GB).

The GALAXY S6 and GALAXY S6 edge will be available in India starting from April 10, 2015 with 32/64/128 GB storage options available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (GALAXY S6 only) and Green Emerald (GALAXY S6 edge only).
