Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 has changed the island in more ways than one. Right now, Fortnite is probably the only battle royale game that has NPCs, and players can actually interact with them. With Fortnite Season 5 here, it has brought with it new locations to the island and we went deep diving if these places were worth it. While some were definitely better when it comes to loot, others were just fun to land because of the NPCs.

That being said, when it comes to climbing in arena you need an area that offers good loot and materials. Even better than that would be finding an area that offers both and fewer enemies to fight with. Those are the kind of locations we will be telling you about in this Fortnite Season 5 Game guide. Bear in mind that each time your drop into one of these places you will need to make sure that they are far from the path of the battle bus.

Viking Ship- Ragnarok

When it comes to new places that are added in Fortnite Season 5, it's the Viking ship that takes the cake. You can find it on the island near Holly Hedges and easily find good loot. Not just the Viking ship but even the surrounding area is full of loot. What makes the Viking ship so special however is its NPC Ragnarok. You can just walk up to him and challenge him to a duel. Beat him and you will get a purple SMG guaranteed.

Ghost House

Another great location for dropping is the ghost house. Even though the house itself is not haunted you will encounter players here. So drop here with that knowledge in mind. Ghost house usually has five chests but that also depends on your luck. What you will get beyond just the chests however are ammo boxes, wooden pallets, and an underground safe that has gold bars. Once you're done looting from the ghost house head over to the surrounding places to find more loot.

Dirty Docks

If there is one place that has the most amount of loot in Fortnite Season 5, it has to be Dirty Docks. The area is gaining a ton of popularity among players. So if you do drop here make sure you watch how many players are dropping with you. There are potentially thirty-seven chests in Dirty Docks. Even though it is at the end of the island but with the cars now available, it is worth a trip.

Rainbow Rentals

Located at the western edge of the island you will find five beach houses collectively known as Rainbow rentals. In Fortnite Season 5 we think this is one of the better places to drop if you landing without anyone else. One of the best things about Rainbow rentals is that it has almost four chests. There are two chests in the green house and the middle house has one as well. You can find the last chest behind the last house in the west. What makes Rainbow rentals truly amazing however is not its loot but the fishing spots.

Ski Lodge

Lastly, we come to the ski lodge. You can find it near the mountains southwest from misty metals. You get several chests, a ton of floor loot, wood, and more importantly a bounty board. Loot from here and the surrounding areas with ease. What makes this place great for dropping is that you will be alone most of the time.
