The speaker system has an admirable look and has four round shaped satellite design speakers and metal grill. The sub-woofer features a wooden cabinet design and has all the controls at its back. There is a USB port, SD card reader, manual controls for volume, bass, power on switch etc.
Performance - Setup is painless and we experienced no problem with getting sound from the system. This home theatre system allows the user to operate the system using a full-function remote control increasing accessibility and comfort. The 4.1 speaker system played all genres of music efficiently. The sound output is smooth, loud, and clear and can fill medium sized room with great audio quality. When we fed the system with variety of tracks, it delivered well all round performance. Bass is crisp and apparent and not much overwhelming so the fans of bass lovers would not be disappointed. We also played games like Ages of Empires, GTA San Andreas and the system sounded very well. Canon fires, nature ambiance, and other sounds in racing games etc. all can be easily distinguished with background score. The satellites delivered highs and lows on par given the price range of these speakers. Also at high volumes, the audio quality was decent and loud without distortion. You can also store and play a number of radio stations.
Bottomline: The F&D F1200U has nice looks and works well for movies and games delivering loud and clear sound
