Motorola launched the 3G version of its popular budget smartphone Moto E in Indian market today. The second generation smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 (Moto E non 3G-Rs. 5,999) and will be available exclusively on e-commerce portal Flipkart starting tomorrow midnight.
Motorola also promised the LTE variant of Moto E in the coming months. Moto E 3G features a bigger 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with the same qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and Adreno 302 GPU.
There is a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and keeping in mind the consumer needs, Motorola has added a VGA front-facing camera for video calling and selfies. But disappointingly, Motorola has still not added the flash on the back in the new Moto E.
You get 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up-to 32GB via microSD card slot. It is powered by a 2,390mAh battery, which is 20 percent powerful than its predecessor.
For connectivity, the smartphone integrates 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. One of the best thing about the latest Moto E is the out of the box Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Motorola has also introduced a variety of shells that can change the look of the smartphone.
