Elon Musk has relaunched a Twitter subscription service with the Twitter blue relaunch after seeing people disliking emerging against the platform at the time of the previous launch which puts the uncertainty of having it in the future.
Twitter was launched last month only, after Musk's Takeover of the firm and fire of a large number of staff which shocked the entire media around the world and raised questions about how Musk is handling the platform.
The Twitter subscription service costs $8 per month for web users and $11 on iOS getting on an Apple store and a blue checkmark on an account will be verified by Twitter, it was previously free but reserved for organizations and public figures in an attempt to avoid impersonation and misinformation.
The initial rollout of Twitter Blue became a problem as many accounts came out fake pretending to be public figures or celebrities. This time, the company stepped up its verification procedure with a review required by Twitter before receiving the coveted blue mark.
Further, the relaunch came the same day as reports that Musk disbanded Twitter's Trust and Safety Council. After his takeover, content moderation has proved to be a major headache for Musk, who has described himself as a free-speech absolutist and vowed to let people tweet whatever they want, within the law.
Recently on Sunday, Musk was loudly booed by a crowd in the city after he was invited on stage by comedian Dave Chappelle.
