It's been a long time coming but finally, we have confirmation. Activision is not only working on a Call of Duty Warzone mobile but they are fast-tracking it as well. There is a lot we need to cover here but first let's talk about the mobile game development we have seen till now from Activision. Call of Duty Mobile or CODM was the first proper game that Activision has on the mobile platform that has made a big impact not just in the mobile BR genre of games but in the overall mobile gaming scene. CODM has been a huge success for Activision when it comes to mobile gaming and when it comes to PC or console gaming, it is COD Warzone that is taking the cake.
With all that said, we have to agree that COD mobile doesn't have the same level of BR experience as PUBG Mobile used to have and the world is in desperate need of a proper mobile battle royal. Ever since PUBG Mobile was banned in India, the game has almost gone into a state of REM sleep almost. Even PUBG PC is seeing the number of players dip every day and the game that replaced it was COD Warzone. So is it really surprising that Activision wants to replicate it on mobile as well?
The image above was taken from a job posting that went live on the Activision website but now has been taken down. In the job listing there it was clear that Call of Duty Warzone mobile is now officially real and there is more. A Reddit has also been created for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and if you think we are kidding then you can see it for yourself here: https://www.reddit.com/r/WarzoneMobile/
From the moves that Activision is making it is clear that they have seen the writing on the wall as well. Mobile gaming is booming and with PUBG Mobile gone from India and losing players in other countries, there is a vacant spot for the top. Call of Duty Mobile is already making its presence felt in the mobile gaming scene and it looks like Activision wants all the spots in the games section of Google Playstore and Apple AppStore.
