NEW DELHI, INDIA: Higher education start-up CollegeDekho.com has launched CollegeDekho Cafes in four Indian cities. The counselling centres have been launched in Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi and Guwahati, with a plan to expand into more cities in the near future.
CollegeDekho.com helps students make an informed decision about their higher education. With a database of 22,000 colleges, it connects students to relevant colleges. The startup leverages technology to curate the best results for aspiring students.
With the launch of CollegeDekho Cafes, students will receive assistance in making a tailored career choice through personalized, face-to-face counselling. The counsellors in the centres will analyze critical information pertaining to profile and ability to derive a handful of well-suited options.
Speaking on the launch, Ruchir Arora, co-founder and CEO, CollegeDekho.com, said, “While some students search for and plan out their careers meticulously, most of them are often not so prepared due to lack of access to the latest information and tools to assist them in decision making. The launch of our CollegeDekho Cafes will provide a physical extension of our peerless tech-based solutions and assist students in finding a college and a course that best suits their interests and skill sets. This initiative will help students in these cities make the most appropriate college choices using up-to-date information about prospective colleges, courses and career opportunities.”
CollegeDekho.com’s online site and mobile app equip students with plenty of authentic, comprehensive and unbiased information to make a more intelligent and informed decision on their higher education. Some of the unique features on the app recommendations include step-by-step search tool that uses basic interests to figure out appropriate colleges and chat forums for prospective/enrolled students of the same college. It provides information on a variety of entrance exams and determines cutoffs for their desired courses.
