PHICOMM, another Chinese brand, which is one of China’s leading providers of telecommunication equipment, terminals, and services, launched its first Android smartphone - PHICOMM Passion 660, in India at Rs. 10,990. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon India from June 9.
PHICOMM Passion 660 is based on a Qualcomm Reference Design by Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, which delivers a pixel density of 441ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB in-built storage that can be further expanded up-to 64 GB via microSD card.
PHICOMM Passion 660 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and features PHICOM’s own EXPECT 5.0 UI. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone has Wi-fi 802.11 b/g /n, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, 4G LTE connectivity. The smartphone is backed by a 2300 mAh battery unit.
The company has not said anything about the sale model it will follow for the smartphone. We expect it will also have a flash sale model as earlier Chinese firms have followed. PHICOMM also displayed its other smartphones at the event but there is no word for their availability and prici
