iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

Well, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus continue with the older A15 Bionic chipset but Apple has improved the camera and added safety features like crash detection to these. Another significant feature is the emergency SOS via Satellite without cellular reception but is currently available for US and Canada only.

There aren't many improvements other than the camera with the larger sensor and Emergency SOS with the support of 5g connectivity. One good part is that Indian customers are likely to get SIM card trays for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, unlike US models.

The iPhone 14 Pro, the flagship model surely comes with the most advanced features. iPhone 14 series comes with the same A15 Bionic chip as in the older version but this new iPhone 14 Pro series is powered with the latest A16 Bionic chipset which will give you unbelievable performance.

iPhone 14 Pro series Highlights

Coming to 14 pro design, Apple has a lot of innovation to flaunt starting with the new pill-shaped notch that changes size depending on the notification. It sports a new ‘dynamic island’ notch, a feature which will change based on the activity that you’re doing or the app you might have open. For instance, when the music app is open, the notch will display a different kind of animation. it would also show maps along with music notifications in case of multitasking. The iPhone 14 Pro has a 48MP main camera bringing a big update to its camera quality.

The iPhone 14 Pro series features an Always-On display, equipped with a 48MP main camera on iPhone featuring a quad-pixel sensor, and Photonic Engine. There’s Emergency SOS via satellite and Crash Detection as well just like in iPhone 14 series

The iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch) feature stainless steel and textured matte glass design. Both the models include a new Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion that features the Always-On display for the first time ever on iPhone, enabled by a new 1Hz refresh rate and multiple power-efficient technologies. This makes the new Lock Screen even more useful, keeping the time, widgets, and Live Activities available at a glance.

Camera

The pro camera system on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with Photonic Engine, improving mid- to low-light performance across all cameras through deep integration of hardware and software. There’s up to 2x on the Main camera, up to 3x on the Ultra Wide camera, up to 2x on the Telephoto camera, and up to 2x on the TrueDepth camera. For most photos, the quad-pixel sensor combines every four pixels into one large quad pixel equivalent to 2.44 µm, resulting in better low-light capture and keeping photo size at a practical 12MP.

The quad-pixel sensor also enables a 2x Telephoto option that uses the middle 12 megapixels of the sensor for full-resolution photos and 4K videos with no digital zoom. This delivers optical quality at a familiar focal length, which is great for features like Portrait mode.
