Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched in September 2017 with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The smartphone company promised that the phone would receive Android 8.O update by the end of the year 2017.
Hence, Xiaomi kept its promise and rolled out the Android 8.0 update on the last day of 2017. By this update, Mi A1 becomes the only smartphone of Xiaomi to get the update. Also, Mi A1 is the most low-priced phone to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update.
Xiaomi states in its official blog that many of the users will easily be able to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update over-the-air (OTA) on your smartphones. And all those users who haven’t yet got the update will receive it in near future. As the update has been rolled out in batches.
The Smartphone company has taken the update to its official Mi forum to issue the complete stable Android Oreo ROM so that all the consumers can receive it from there.
Mi A1 is a member of the Android One program due to which it receives Android updates swiftly as compared to others. Xiaomi assures that Mi A1 will too receive Android P update soon; hence will become the first smartphone to get the update.
Android 8.0 Update Features
The new Android update comes forth with new and latest features for your Mi A1 mobile phones. It was further brought to notice that the Mi A1 mobile phone can now charge its battery from 0 to 100 percent in 92 minutes. The charging time has decreased from two hours as it was previously required.
