Moto E first generation users can now enjoy the latest Android flavor as the company has started rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update to the smartphone in India.
The OTA Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Motorola Moto E first gen. is now available in India and users should receive a notification popup for the same. Users can also manually check for the update by going to Settings > About phone > Software update on the Moto E first gen.
The 210 MB update lets users enjoy the material design of the latest Android OS and also includes features such as a new pull-down menu for quickly selecting different Wi-Fi access points or paired Bluetooth devices; improves the responsiveness to the front-facing camera viewfinder,reduces noise in low-light shots; and also brings new device protection features.
The update will also let users block interruptions until the next alarm, alter notification volume controls while media is playing, apart from dismissing a heads-up notification and swipe it up to remove it from the screen. Moreover with the improvements in Android Runtime, the latest update results in the faster opening of applications and other performance improvements.
