Tech giant Google has announced Android 10 Go Edition – a powerful interface to work on entry-level smartphones that comes with new and reimagined apps, to ensure even the most affordable Android smartphones perform as seamless as they can be.
The Android 10 Go Edition comes with smaller app sizes, more storage space, and offers users more ways to better control how their content is stored. Also, with fewer pre-installed and much lighter apps you get two times more available storage out of the box.
And for the first time ever, Google Assistant will work on smartphones with 1GB or less of memory, thus just say ‘Hey, Google’ and ask it questions and tell it to do things.
In the new Android 10 Go Edition, Google has equipped Chrome with its very own data saver. When it is turned on, Chrome restricts background data and helps you save up to 60 percent of mobile data.
For privacy, the Android 10 Go Edition comes with the same key security features as in the Android 10, meaning every budget Android smartphone comes with Google Play Protect, built-in mobile security that keeps your apps and data safe, 24/7. Apps such as Files, Gallery Go have been redesigned to provide a fast, smooth smartphone experience to help you get the email, get answers, find directions, and play games faster than ever.
The new Go Edition will also help you switch between apps faster and according to Google apps can now be launched 10 percent faster than they did on Android 9 (Go Edition).
The Android 10 Go Edition also includes Adiantum, a new form of encryption built by Google for entry-level smartphones. Adiantum is built to run efficiently without the need for specialized hardware, which means all the Go edition users will have the same level of data security as any Android device, without compromising performance.
