Ari Balogh, Airbnb’s CTO, said that the new tech hub provides an opportunity for Airbnb to make use of Bengaluru’s and India’s leading tech talent. Their primary intent with this project is evolving the technical foundations of the travel & tourism ecosystem in India, and also providing an exceptional experience for customers on the Airbnb platform.

Amanpreet Bajaj, Airbnb’s General Manager for India, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, said that they are committed to working with the government and all stakeholders to build economic growth and create a resilient market for tourism to attract direct investment. Invest India’s CEO and MD Deepak Bagla, welcomed Airbnb’s announcement by noting that India will again become an attractive destination for global travelers as the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
