AI is Everything for Microsoft, Says Satya Nadella

Microsoft plans to pervade AI in everything, reported by Indo-Asian News Service.

At the ‘Microsoft Inspire’ event in Las Vegas while addressing the partners CEO Satya Nadella said that the future for us is to be capable of transforming every industry into an AI-industry, for example, healthcare & agriculture.

IANS report quoted Microsoft CEO saying, “It’s going to have perception capability, language capability and autonomy that’s going to be built into the applications going forward. Autonomy is not just about a few self-driving projects. This is about autonomy everywhere”.

He stressed that the latest advances in the field of AI have been pretty stunning. Though, what the humankind will witness in the coming future would be much profound.

Further, while talking about tech giant’s Azure Cloud offerings, Satya Nadella told the gathering the computing requirements will go far beyond data centres.

Nadella said we are going to take Azure to Azure Stack, to Azure IoT Edge and to Azure Sphere. This is a ubiquitous, distributed computing fabric, the IANS report stated.

Also, he said Microsoft 365 will aid customers to have device-centered experiences and not people-centred.

Moreover, Microsoft has already started adding AI to areas. For example, Walmart partnered Microsoft to use its Cloud and AI technology,  it has created an AI programme to manage fake news on its platforms - Bing & LinkedIn and the company has also designed an AI-powered security tool to assist SMEs guard against cyber attacks.
