An American company, Oculus Rift claims to have created a game where the player dies if they're incapable to complete the game. VR headset manufacturing company created a new VR headset that can kill users in real life if they die in a videotape game.

The headset will achieve this intimidating feat with three explosive charges attached to it. The explosive charges are programmed similarly in that they will blast if your character gets killed in the game. The charge modules are placed directly at the wear and tear forebrain. Once the player hit zero points, their head would supposedly explode.

Palmer Luckey behind the invention of this modern virtual reality( VR), has created a headset that “ bombards the player’s brain with extraordinarily strong microwaves ” if they die in a VR game, they die in reality.

"The headset ‘ NerveGear ’ impeccably recreates reality using a direct neural interface. The device has three explosive charge modules right above the viewing screen. These charges are aimed directly at the user’s brain and are capable of killing them immediately, claims the maker," Palmer Luckey said in his Blog post.

“Pumped-up plates might make a game look further real, but only the trouble of serious consequences can make a game feel real to you and every other person in the game, ” Luckey further said.

The headset has been constructed to commemorate the anime Sword Art Online. The anime, which shows players put on the NerveGear headset, made virtual reality popular across Japan. The series ’ antagonist, a frenetic scientist, traps all the players in a 100- bottom dungeon in the virtual world. However, they die in real life, If they die in the game.

Further, to secure the safety of the users, Palmer plans to produce an anti-tamper mechanism that will make the VR headset impossible to remove or destroy. However, it's still quite hazardous to try it on himself as there's a huge chance of failures that could come and kill the user at the wrong time.

This is also why he's induced that, like in SAO, the final triggering should be tied to a high- intelligence agent that can determine if conditions for termination are indeed correct. That’s why he said that the headset is just a piece of office art for now.

“ This is an area of videogame mechanics that has noway been explored, despite the long history of real-world sports revolving around analogous stakes, ” Palmer added.
